Transactworld Digital, a Central Bank of Nigeria-licensed fintech company and the operator of Transactpay, has unveiled a new integration with mobile money giant OPay. This partnership will enable businesses across Nigeria to accept payments directly from over 40 million OPay wallet users — including more than 10 million individuals who transact daily — without any need for websites, third-party apps, or redirects.

The move is expected to significantly simplify digital payments for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the country, particularly those operating in cash-heavy environments or without digital infrastructure.

According to Ernest Obi, Co-founder and CEO of Transactworld Digital, the integration is a deliberate step towards empowering local entrepreneurs to access modern payment tools without the complexity and cost of traditional fintech platforms.

“Our goal is simple: make it easier for Nigerian businesses to get paid — by people already paying daily,” Obi said.

With this development, merchants using Transactpay can now initiate and complete customer transactions entirely within the OPay ecosystem. Funds settle instantly into the merchant’s Transactpay dashboard, offering real-time transaction visibility and improved cash flow.

The business benefits are substantial: access to over 40 million verified wallets, more than 10 million daily payment opportunities, and a fully embedded transaction experience — all without the need for a dedicated website or mobile app.

Industry analysts see the move as a strategic play that positions Transactpay as a go-to growth platform for SMEs, retail operators, and digital service providers seeking scale without high marketing costs. The company’s merchant base currently spans logistics, hospitality, beauty, food services, and creative enterprises, all of which stand to benefit from direct access to Nigeria’s growing mobile-first consumer base.

By tapping into OPay’s massive user network, Transactworld Digital aims to shift the focus from product features to customer reach — offering everyday Nigerian businesses a chance to grow simply by plugging into a system already familiar to millions of consumers.

Transactworld Digital Services Ltd. is a Nigerian financial technology company licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria as a Payment Solution Service Provider. Its flagship product, Transactpay, enables local and international payments through bank transfers, cards, QR codes, and now, OPay mobile wallets.
